We have been producing locks, fittings, seals and hinges “made in Germany” since 1883.

In our factory in Heiligenhaus near Düsseldorf, Germany, we produce durable and high-quality products for five different industries. On the basis of the intense co-operation with our customers our staff create and produce a diverse portfolio of high-quality products as a result of creative and well thought-out development activities.

This tradition, which has been preserved for 130 years, constitutes the key to the success of our products, which are international leaders in their field. As a result of this, the conscious decision in favour of Germany as an economic location is increasingly gaining in importance for us – especially during times of omnipresent globalisation and countless mergers.

As a medium-sized family-run company with 165 employees we, of course, set great value upon natural growth based on our own strengths and a solid foundation.

As a result of this, our ecological responsibility is also reflected in our entrepreneurial activity. For example, our electroplating baths and operating premises have been heated by our 400 qm2 solar thermal system for the generation of process heat since the beginning of the year 2008. In climate protection we will keep encountering new challenges and have already taken decisive measures on the subject of sustainability today – so that we can continue to assist and support our customers in the future.

Even our youngest investment is a milestone on our path to the future. In the year 2012 we launched an automatic small parts store. Three fully automatic storage and retrieval machines provide a maximum hourly transport performance of 600 (receipt into) storage and issue procedures. Four orders can be processed simultaneously at two picking stations in production and dispatch respectively. The average picking time reduces by up to 80%. With the new system we are very well positioned for the rising demand and the general requirement of continually shorter delivery periods. Furthermore, stock reliability has risen strongly throughout the product engineering process. The investment also has a major effect for STUV‘s worldwide customer pool. In-stock products can be handed over to the forwarding agents within a few hours with the new technology.

Quality promises are good, quality management is better. True to this guiding principle,  Steinbach & Vollmann GmbH & Co. KG, having successfully completed the audit by TÜV Rheinland, fulfilled all requirements of the Quality Management Standard DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and received an extension of the certificate for the next three years. For us, the continuation of the certification is, among other things, a major competitive factor. At the same time, however, this external distinction is also an obligation to constantly scrutinise our internal procedures and to optimise them. This is the only way we can ensure the satisfaction and trust of existing and potential customers. A logical and transparent documentation of company-internal procedures contributes towards this at the locking and hardware systems manufacturer. All employees are trained in their tasks and are kept up to date at all times about the process flow with the Quality Management Handbook. In this way everyone works towards the goal of continuously improving customer satisfaction at STUV.
